Up for sale is a brand new 1/400 Swissair McDonnell Douglas MD-11 HB-IWA “Obwalden” (11850) by Phoenix.
Swissair had a fleet of 20 MD-11’s which followed on from the earlier DC-10. This aircraft was the first delivered as a new airframe arriving in March 1991. It stayed with the airline until March 2002. In 2004 it was converted to a freighter for FEDEX.
This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, Phoenix Models, NG Models and Aviation400.
