Description
Up for sale is a brand new 1:400 scale Air New Zealand 747-400 ZK-SUH “Dunedin” (11770) by Phoenix models in their classic 1990’s livery.
Originally operated by Varig this 747 was leased by Air New Zealand in 1994 after a major refit by Tramco at Paine field. The lease was through ILFC whose CEO Steven Udvar Hazy’s initials were chosen as the aircrafts registration. It was operated by Air New Zealand until 2014. It was flown to the US with the intention of it becoming an engine testbed with GE, however this did not happen and the aircraft has been parted out with remains still in existence at the Victorville boneyard as of late 2021.
This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, Aeroclassics, JC Wings and Aviation400.
