Up for sale is a brand new 1/72 US Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat 161621 “USS Kitty Hawk” (HA5233) by Hobbymaster.

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a twin-engine, with a unique variable sweep wing capable of supersonic flight. The aircraft is crewed by a Pilot and a Radar Intercept Officer who share the tasks of navigation, target acquisition, ECM and weapons usage. The Tomcat was operated by the US Navy and the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.

This F-14A, 161621 was delivered to VF-21 in 1984 and then served with several other squadrons before VF-154 received it in 1998. On March 2 1999 while on board the USS Kitty Hawk VF-154 F-14A 161621, piloted by Lt. Baxter with CAG Captain McHarg in the back seat completed the 1000th trap before retiring the aircraft in 2004.

This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Aviation72, Oxford, Corgi, Century Wings, Witty Wings and JC Wings.
