Boeing 707-338C was delivered new to Qantas as VH-EBT in Jan 1967, and flew with the airline for 11 years until being s sold to British Midland airways (BMA) as G-BFLE in May 1978, who used the aircraft alongside a number of other second-hand 707s for sub-leases. The aircraft was leased to the following airlines for the next six years until withdrawal in 1984: PIA, Air Algérie, Gulf Air, DETA Linhas Aereas Mozambique, LAM Linhas Aereas Mocambique and Ariana Afghan Airlines. In May 1981 the aircraft returned to the BMA fleet, and was finally withdrawn in 1984. However, the story didn’t end there, as the aircraft returned to the USA as N861BX and flew for Southern Air Transport, Burlington Air Express and Buffalo Airways in the mid-1980s, before being sold again as N2178F to Grumman Aerospace who then converted the airliner to an E-8C for the USAF. As 94-0284 the aircraft is still flying.

This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, NG Model, Phoenix Models, JC Wings and Aviation400.
