Up for sale is a brand new 1:400 scale Aer Lingus Vickers VC2 Viscount 707 “St Patrick” EI-AFV (AC411221) by Aeroclassics.
Distinctive oval doors indicate this aircraft is the earlier and shorter -700 series of Vickers’ popular airliner. Aer Lingus was an early user of the type taking delivery of their first in April 1954. This aircraft is depicted in the new livery introduced in 1956. It was withdrawn in 1959 and went on to serve with several smaller UK airlines before finishing it’s life with Channel Airways who retired and scrapped it in 1970.
This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, NG Model, Phoenix Models, JC Wings and Aviation400.
