Up for sale is a brand new 1:200 scale FLYING TIGERS DOUGLAS DC-8-63 N779FT (IF863FT01P) by Inflight200.
Flying Tigers were a major user of the DC-8. This one was delivered in June 1968 and was one of five factory-new DC-8-63CFs which were emblazoned with large “Jumbo Jet” titles. At that time, the “Stretch 8” was the largest passenger aircraft in service until the real jumbo jet, the 747 was rolled out a few months later in September 1968. The “Jumbo Jet” titles were short-lived, and these five DC-8s eventually ended up with Cargolux and UPS.
This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and include extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Inflight200, J-Fox, Gemini Jets, Phoenix Models, JC Wings, and Aviation200.
Includes display stand.
