Up for sale is a brand new 1:400 scale BMI BRITISH MIDLAND DOUGLAS DC-9-30 G-PKBE (AC411139) by Aeroclassics.
BMI operated both the -10 and -30 versions of the DC-9 with 9 of each in the fleet. This is one of the latter. It was a former Swissair airframe that BMI leased through the PK Air Finance. They operated it between October 1988 and May 1995 when it went to Valuejet in the US. It ended it’s days in Mexico and was scrapped about 2009.
This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, NG Model, Phoenix Models, JC Wings and Aviation400.
