Up for sale is a brand new 1:400 scale SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS BOEING 747SP “MAJUBA” ZS-SPD (07025) by NG Models.
International destinations out of South Africa were often a long way away. As a result the 747SP was considered a useful aircraft for the airline because of its long range. SAA operated six of the type, this one, the fourth was delivered in October 1976. It was leased to Royal Air Maroc in 1985 and from there went to French leisure carrier Corsair in 1994. It was retired in 2002 and parts were used to keep other 747’s in the Corsair fleet operational.
This model air-plane is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to Gemini Jets, Phoenix, JC Wings, and Aeroclassics.
