Description

Up for sale is a brand new TAA TRANS AUSTRALIA AIRLINES DOUGLAS DC-6 VH-INU (ACVHINU) By Aeroclassics.

This DC-6 began life in Australia with ANA in 1955 before the Ansett takeover two years later. It was leased to TAA as part of a deal that involved a swap with TAA Viscounts. It was briefly sub-leased to TEAL in 1960 and finally returned to Ansett in 1966 before a lease to QANTAS, making it the most “popular” DC-6 in Australia. While flying with later owner Air Vietnam it was lost in a crash in 1969 after an explosive device detonated on board prior to landing in Saigon.

This model aircraft is made from die-cast metal and includes extensive detailing. It is similar in quality to NG Models, Phoenix Models, JC Wings, Geminijets and Aviation400.
